DESY PETRA IV TAC:

The PETRA IV project aims to build DESY's 4th generation synchrotron radiation source to enable groundbreaking studies in a multitude of disciplines. Within the framework of the construction of the PETRA IV storage ring, the DESY MAC encouraged to establish a review committee dedicated to PETRA IV.

 

Charge of the DESY PETRA IV TAC:

The DESY PETRA IV Technical Advisory Committee (PIV TAC) was established in 2021 to provide technical and strategic advice on developments and activities related to the machine and beamlines during the Technical Design Report (TDR) phase.

 

General Charter for the DESY PETRA IV TAC:

The PIV TAC is advisory and reports to the Accelerator Division (M) and Photon Science (FS) Directors. The PIV TAC meets every 6 months.

The period of membership is two years, with the possibility of a single extension. The PIV TAC has up to fourteen members, with the possibility of temporarily appointing additional experts, if necessary for the review of special topics or projects.
